Apple
Zune 2. Why?
Monday, October 1st, 2007 | Microsoft | No Comments
It has been reported that Microsoft will release the second generation of the Zune on Wednesday. My big question is Why?
Apple owns some 80+% of the MP3 player market with its popular iPod and iPhone product lines. I am unsure of the true numbers, so this is just a ballpark guess, but still Apple currently owns this market. Microsoft’s first generation Zune was a colossal failure and was obviously unable to compete in an already dominated market.
So what makes Microsoft think that the second generation Zune is going to do any better? If you have any thoughts feel free to enlighten me because I would definitely like to know.
